    I got two emails today at work… Within a matter of a minute…

    1. Announcing a 2 minute silence for an employee who passed away in a tragic road accident.

    2. Announcing sweets at a colleague’s desk to celebrate a baby boy’s arrival

    And life goes on…

    I have been reading his biography for the last few weeks, page by page, and understanding a bit of why I have always loved my Apple devices way more than the non-Apple ones…

    Here is one of the rare occasions when Steve Jobs agreed to do a commencement address, and I am sure millions of them were and now are happy he did…

  • Bad News Good Timing

    Yeah right!

    Even bad news could have good timing, great timing infact! I don’t think that is a rare case either! A lot of bad news in a different perspective have some good hidden somewhere…

    I am not referring to the news of someone’s near and dear ones going! They are horrible news! Losing someone close can never be good! I am only talking about the bad news!

  • Railway Crossing…

    A few pictures from a Railway Crossing in Daurala, Meerut!

    February 21, 2008 - Daurala Railway Crossing S-1286 This is what would practically define every railway crossing in India… The bigger vehicles would “have” to stop, and the cyclists, don’t care! While one of them is already making his way through, the other is getting off his cycle to cross!

    February 21, 2008 - Daurala Railway Crossing S-1295 A tractor trolly loaded with sugarcane for the sugar-mills… a common sight during the mill season!

    February 21, 2008 - Daurala Railway Crossing S-1297 Yezdi! I am simply glad to have a picture of this bike in my collection! It has served a lot of folks in India well for decades, and there still are die-hard fans of the bike!

    February 21, 2008 - Daurala Railway Crossing S-1308 This piece of cloth is called a Loi or a Khes (very popular in UP and Haryana for light winters! Its interesting how this would also serve as a wind-cheater for some!)

  • Election day in Delhi!

    The way I see it, folks who are voting for AAP, are doing two things..

    1. Telling Congress that a collective effort by people can bring about a change… in whatever form, but it does
    2. It should scare the other governments in power in other states! AK might have been the guy who stood up in Delhi, but there is nothing that stops more local AKs to get up and make a point!

    I am not sure if AAP would win or not, but its making a dent for sure! and gaining entry into the system (which I feel is equally important)…

    Also this means, that a lot of folks, are going to be reviewing their performance more closely!

    I almost forgot my cup of tea when I saw this video! Must have seen it about 50 times already, and I still cannot get over it! Amazing advert, very well done!

  • Kidney Bean

    Took a few of them sometime back and put them in a little pot we bought… And a few weeks later, after some regular watering, and sunlight, I got these little beautiful small plants!

  • Getting active on Facebook…

  • New Year Fresh Start

    Decided to drop AndPictures from the list of websites/names that I manage/keep! Will consolidate everything on for Chai ki Dukaan now!
