  • Closure!

She kept asking herself what went wrong!

She did everything it takes to keep a relationship, or so she thought!

She never felt away from him, even though they were miles apart… though he never felt close to her or so he thought!

She always made time, and he never bothered

She wanted, and he did not need it

    She spoke, he never heard

She wanted to hear, he never spoke

An year after they spoke last, she finally gathered enough courage to call him and ask!

the phone rang, and her heart was pounding on every bell, so loud! that she could hear it clearly

Same irritating caller tune, she thought!

    He picked up

    She said,”Hi”

    He asked, “Who’s that?”

She said, “Guess!” no wait… she wanted to say “guess who” but said,” Neeelima!”

He said,” Hi Neelima. How are you? Been a while!”

She said,” Why do I feel that you never bothered how I was, what I was, and did not value me in the relationship we shared? Just want to know why?”

He said,” wake up idiot… you have been speaking in your sleep for the last 30 minutes.” Put some nice hot tea next to her side of the bed, kissed her on the forehead, and walked out to the porch of their honeymoon cottage!

  • The bridge and bus of Orchha!

A few friends went on a trip together to place they had never been to… Prashant, Deepak, Priyanka, Kavita, and Anjali…

The train journey to Jhansi, and the bus trip from Jhansi to Khajuraho was great(9 types of horns that bus had, and the driver was more than happy blowing them to amuse us all the way)… walking around in Khajuraho was great… realizing that Khajuraho is not only about Kamasutra was great…

taking an unplanned jungle safari was great…

realising that Poha, some local chutney, aalu tikki, pineapple dahi, could make a trip memorable was great…

And then the gang reach Orccha… and on this orccha evening something happened…

These 5 to be good photographers were clicking at the banks of the Betwa River, which has a bridge connecting the two sides… one side is populated by Orchha and the other by I don’t know what… This bridge is not too wide a bridge, maybe good for two scooters from either directions, or one car and one scooter approaching each other from opposite ends, or a few cycles together… bring a bus on the bridge, and she is the queen of the bridge.. there is no space for anyone else…

Priyanka was clicking on the other side of the bridge and started walking towards Orchha slowly, she had covered just about a quarter of the bridge when she saw a bus coming from orchha towards her… the option was to walk back and wait for the bus to cross, or to run towards the bus and cross the bridge before the bus comes onboard…

Priyanka chose the latter, and decide to run towards the bus…

No points for guessing that the bus was a bit faster than what it was expected it to be! and it reached the bridge while Priyanka was still on the it…

Now because the bus was packed, and there was no space to climb it either, Priyanka had to walk all the way back towards the other end, with the bus following her slowly…

We did not realize this had happened till she told us about the incident later in the evening and we all almost died laughing… The bus above is the same bus, and I was wondering why did it stop on the bridge 🙂 Now I know 😀

I still smile at this incident…

I also remember this trip because this was my first trip with the dSLR.. and I had gone crazy taking pictures, and most of them were rubbished by my photography guru and friend Gaurav…

p.s. Priyanka, if you read this, its not to make fun of you or anything, its just to remember that amazing trip we guys had and because someone had commented on the picture of the bus recently and I though that the bus event deserves a special mention here…

Oh, and how did I forget mentioning about that Auto Driver who brought us to Jhansi from Orchha… what a singer… phew !!! 😀

Check out some more pictures from that trip here.

Original post about the trip here.

  • and she…

It had been raining all night… literally !

She had not slept for a second …

The sound of the rain drops, the sound of the wind passing through her windows, and her tears kept her awake…

The morning came… it had to…

And as she walked out of her house…

the cold breeze greeted her and said good morning…

the warm sun came out of the clouds and said a shining smiling hello…

some birds flew past her chirping all sweet nothings into her ears…

    and she… she smiled !

    and moved on…

… and before you reach any conclusions… I was not crying the last night 😛 I have been very very happy with the way 30on30 has been received ! Have responded to over 40 people, must have read/written at least 150 emails in the last three days about the 30on30 project… Have placed the first order for the the prints.. have a commitment of over Rs. 10000… have Rs. 4000 transferred as well… The month has started on a brilliant note !!!
  • Flowers !

    Sahil : I sent you flowers !

    Purvi : What? Why?

Sahil : Oh, because I love you and because you told me you were not feeling too well and because you are alone there…

Purvi : How many times do I need to tell you that I don’t want you to send me flowers? I think they bring bad luck to me

Sahil : I am sorry but you were not well for the last few days and I could not think of something else…

    Purvi : Whatever !

Sahil : Anyway, but the hotel that you told me you were staying in, says that there is no one called Purvi checked in there…

Purvi : Oh, yea, I checked out ! forgot to tell you !

  • Junk Food, and a story from Junks…

Junk food is tastier than the regular food… ever wondered why? well i feel because when you are eating junk, you are not really thinking but only enjoying 🙂 not that you cannot enjoy while you think… but enjoying is more fun without thinking for sure 😀

I had a nicey nice pizza today… what fun digging into that lovely vegetarian pizza full of brll peppers, jalapenos, olives, sweet corn, and yes.. the fattening cheese… but then i had it after long walk in the bloody 4 degs of cold…

i loved that walk… a few things kept coming back, no matter how hard i tried shooing them away… but then i managed to leave them somewhere on the horley town centre bus stand… what a relief…

talking of Pizzas it reminds me of a brilliant day that i had very long time back.. i guess in 2001.. i remember it because that time i was working in Global Groupware…

well, what happened was the I had to go to office… well not really.. i just made that story up because i wanted to meet my then girlfriend… and i offered mom dad a ride to RK Puram… my chacha’s place… the plan was I would drop them there… pick up my girlfriend… come home… call some friends over, have a party and then drop her and go to chacha’s place to pick mom dad up…

everything happened exactly like how we thought… except a blunder…

we had ordered pizzas for food… i had kept the pizza boxes to be thrown when we were moving out.. and asked her to pick them up… now in rush i forgot all about them… and when i reached chacha’s place i suddenly was reminded of this.. i called her up, and asked where did she threw the boxes… and as luck wanted it.. the Pizza boxes were on the washing machine… bang in front of the door, waiting for mom dad to arrive with me…

now there was no way i could remove the boxes now.. and i was already on my way home with mom dad.. thinking about how on earth am I going to save myself from being killed !!!

well.. when we reached home.. i volunteered to open the doors.. took the keys… opened the door… picked up the pizza boxes… and put them behind the safe in my room… what a CLOSE SHAVE it was… i blasted her off for this… and then almost died laughing on what could have happened to me !!! oh boy…

i can still laugh at that day…

and today comes to an end…

May tomorrow bring peace and happiness to all.. Amen…

  • Class II

Not that it matters but he came first in class in Nursery, KG and First…

Today was the result day and he knew he was going to stand first again in his class… He had not yet been introduced to feelings like nervousness… so we can without a doubt say that it was just a usual day for him…

All he would have to do is go to the class teacher and ask for his medal and the certificate… He had still kept all the last medals and trophies he won in the class, in sports events etc.

So he went to the teacher in the morning… and asked her for the medal… instead of asking for the result… what confidance !!!

And the teacher told her that she could not give him the medal this time…

    He did not understand why…

All he remembers today, is that he cried the entire day, not because he came second… but because his medal did not come to him…

  • sToRiEs….

Abha’s parents want her to get married before she leaves for the job she got selected for through her college campus placements… She says she does not want to get married and does not want to make her parents sad either… she does not know what to do.. she is sad, confused and frustrated… to add to the pain, she feels that she is still not out of her ex relationship….

Meera’s parents also want her to get married… No idea if she likes anyone or she ever had an affair… she has not expressed her joy or sorrow whatever over the fact that her parents are looking for a match with her… Her parents are very worried over the effort that has not resulted in anything so far for over an year…

Abha’s ex boyfriend claims that he loves her, but he is not in a position to get married to her… For reasons that he himself is aware of…

Meera’s elder brother Nitesh is a chick magnet… he really liked girls and always had more than he could handle always around him…

Sakshi is a very ambitious girl… she has worked very hard to reach the position in her career where she is today… and maybe its too late for her to get married now… @ 32 she is finding it very difficult to find someone who would match her ability, who would understand her, who would be able to digest her success in her work… and she has no clue about how she would manage a home if at all she gets married…

Chetna is doing just fine in her office… she has a good job, she is a well paid manager, but not really doing that gives her a professional satisfaction the way she wants… she has figured out other ways to channelize her energy… and tries hard to be nicer and better… there are days when she looses it completely and things totally randomly, but then she gets back to her ownself.. and carries on…

Niti is seeing this guy who she kinda likes, but claims that its only a time pass “affair”… she just might be trying to fool herself with the entire thought process, and the guy might be adding to it…

Chetna does not like the guy Niti is seeing these days… she can strangle him any day….

Nitesh likes this girl… not for keeps types, but likes it.. but while she is a great person… she is not good in bed… and he does not know what to do about it….

Keep looking around… you will see more stories building up then you can imagine…

There always is something more to it….

  • ShE !!!

    she was beautiful…
    he was the silent one…

    he loved her…
    she did not even know…

    she was happy…
he knew she was getting married…

    he was sad…
    she was excited…

    and then.. he woke up…
it was 5 o’clock of that winter morning… he was dreaming…

    the dream was true…
