  • Small town moments…

Daurala is a place close to my heart and the camera! A frequent visitor to this place, I am happy walking around the streets taking pictures as I like… the people are friendly, and it has a typical energy that I like being a part of…

  • McLeodganj, Kangra (Himachal Pradesh, India)

I have been to Mcleodganj a couple of times, and have loved the experience… While going through my old work, came across a folder of images which was earlier on flickr and is not longer accesible… Here are a few good ones and the album below…

This small town a few kilometers ahead of Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh offers a variety of options for almost all kinds of travelers, the religious can go to temples around, the tourist can enjoy walking around the town and take cabs to nearby locations to enjoy the nature… the foodies can eat at a number of restaurants which serve a variety of food… the trek types can trek to Triund and other places… What a complete package this place is!

  • Chopta Tungnath Trek

Did the Chopta Tungnath Trek long back in April of 2007. The memories are however still very fresh, and the photographs fresher!

    Enjoy!

  • Pushkar, Rajasthan

I have written about this trip earlier here, and some pictures were also posted in Flickr, however after my FlickrPro account expired and I decided to continue with the free one, these photographs are no longer available on Flickr.

Some photographs from a trip to the Holy Towns of Pushkar and Ajmer…

A quote stressing the fact that effort has to work with luck! It translates to “luck can give you flour but not make bread for you…“

An interesting arrangement here… An empty chair, however the man in the picture chooses to let it be and sit on the pavement!

This is the Ajmer Sharif Dargah! What I love about Mosques and Gurudwaras is that you cannot enter them (or atleast the instructions say so) without washing your hands and feet.

Getting three generations in one single photograph is always a pleasure!

There was something very intriguing about this little girl. So engrossed in her own world!

Here is the entire album for you….

  • Prashant Bhardwaj Photography | And Pictures

Have you been to AndPictures? No? I would recommend a visit… That website contains my selected work categorized in different genres!

Why AndPictures as the brandname? Because what is around me comes before the pictures! Its people “and pictures”, its “moments” and pictures, its places “and pictures”. If a photograph does not capture the first part of what I just said, the second is not really worth it!

  • Chai ki Ketli

Found this Kettle at an IOC Petrol Pump @ Majnu ka Tila (New Delhi) waiting to be clicked! While I was clicking, I was getting all sorts of looks about what on earth was I clicking this one for, but it was fun 🙂

How was your morning cup of tea today?

  • Can watch you for hours when you sleep!

Its amazing how I feel when I watch you sleep… its like meditation! Peace!

Our routemap for the trip :

    [googlemaps https://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=new+delhi&daddr=pushkar+to:bhilwara+to:chittaurgarh+to:new+delhi&hl=en&geocode=FazwtAEdAFyaBCkttn40W_0MOTHOTSBOSbfCUg%3BFYs2lAEd7J5xBCkvKlflIt1rOTHq8s0vkT1zuA%3BFcvAggEdX9xyBClVCgeMNsJoOTGUUsstpHAvyQ%3BFajFewEdardyBCnZqBFNQqBoOTGNXzRpyJfweQ%3BFazwtAEdAFyaBCkttn40W_0MOTHOTSBOSbfCUg&aq=&sll=26.765231,75.893555&sspn=5.422768,9.876709&vpsrc=6&mra=ls&ie=UTF8&ll=26.763,75.89126&spn=3.74948,2.67232&t=m&output=embed&w=425&h=350]

An important thing to note is
If you are going straight to Bhilwara or beyond, and Pushkar is not one of your pit-stops, make sure that you take a left turn about 8 kms before Kishangarh… A flyover is your landmark… If you were to go to Kishangarh, you would have to go under it, and if you are going towards Bhilwara, you are to take left!
