  • (il)Logical Logics…

    1. We are not singers because if we were , what would happen to the loads of them who are struggling and otherwise? We would have been so good that no one else would ever get an opportunity to sing ever again except in the shaadi byah and other functions… and ditto about us not being sportsperson, models etc etc. This should explain the pathetically low fitness levels, the lack of any demonstrated singing capabilities etc etc…

    2. I save a number of yours that you don’t use anymore in my phone book Because, that way I would never call you and waste my money and time…

    3. I don’t plan my travel because if I plan I will have to go there, and because i did not plan i necessarily don’t go there, so I can go anywhere… and this we actually proved on the recent MP trip…

These are just some of the things that Aro and me have discussed at length for a long time now… some more would follow…

Oh and he has written about the MP trip too… here are a few links…

  • You are Welcome ! (but then… may be not)

Its a debate that I have participated in, many times, over and over again… and almost every time I have failed to convince people that Chai Ki Dukaan is not a place where I force people to come and read and comment…

It started at a time, when I was not talking to a lot of people in my life, except a handful of friends and has seen me through the thick and thin of life in the last 4 years…

Still I get into discussions where my friends want to convince me of the fact that what I write effects people because it might be them that I am writing about… I completly agree to that, however I also believe that this is my ONLY space where I write… its a space that listens to me… and helps me think of whatever I did and wrote, twice, because i read it as well…

Now I have the option of either shutting up because I care about what will people think about my posts and how I am making them feel…

or I can reassure myself of the fact that rightmore.blogspot.com is a space which a small but important part of my life, it is a space where I write because this is how I clean my system, the yoga for my fingers and breathing for myself, it is a space where I do not write to prove points or get back at people, or to attract readers….

While I appreciate all the reasons why I should filter my writing, I still think that this is my page… and I should let this page continue to have the space in my life…

If something here bothers a visitor, its probably because its the truth… might be about me, or someone that I know, or something that I saw or experienced… and I would respect if someone actually decides to never come back to this page again… and when I can have the balls to face certain truths of my life and still be more than happy about it, I should also have the right to write about what i want and how !!!

p.s. This is not about one person or one conversation, this is about multiple convos and is not intended towards hurting anyone’s genuine concerns for what people will think about me when they read my posts… Apologies !

  • So? Did you?

One of the worst things you can do after you kiss or make out with someone is :

ask them if they liked it !!!!

oh.. wait.. there is something worse..

When someone asks you, saying that you did not feel a thing !!!

  • I speak this.. you hear that…

I don’t know how to sugarcoat my words… I might be silent and not speaking… and there are times when its happening because people are new to hearing how I speak and might find it raw… but the good news is thats how I am…

Thankfully, so far, professionally, I have always been admired and appreciated for my speaking abilities, with a few notes here and there of being too straight forward with words… That should explain and acknowledge the street plays, and the time on and off stage I have spent… God !!! How I wish I live some of that time again sometime… aap sun rahe ho na Uncle? note karlo je wala point please…

I am not a player of words either… i don’t know how to blow up a conversation by using bigger words and making it sound larger than what it is… probably things which are simple sound better and easily understandable when they are said simply too…

I love talking in Hindi… and like hearing Hindi… i don’t know if I remember writing a lot of it… its been a while I have not written anything in Hindi on a paper…

and then again, more often than not my Hindi is the raw Hindi… comes straight, can sound harsh, is not meant to be that way… and people realize that only over a period of time, having said that, there usually are cases where they did not like what i said and how i said it before realizing, that it was not how it was supposed to be heard…

I guess the western UP Dehati element is something that rules my way of speaking…

    just like

Prashant becomes a Proshanto in Bengal (I love it for some reason, probably because the way its said, and because the “sh” sound is retained… i like that sound actually)

    and

Prashant becomes Prasanth during a lot of my conversations with my teams from Bangalore and Madras Hyderabad (and I HATE it; probably because the “sh” sound is removed, and the “th” is added… honestly I am not sure but this version of my name is irritating) In fact, if someone mentions my name incorrectly in an email, I usually point them towards my signature or my address book details where they can refer to the correct spellings….

    and

Prashant also becomes Parsaant a lot of times… and this always freaks me out… I double Hate it…

What did I start writing about? oh… the way I speak… yea !!!

So the fact remains… my way of talking is not sweet, is rough, but honest..

and when I say ek chamaat padega, I am not really going to hit 🙂 It needs to be translated to “I am not in agreement with what you said, and because I care and I feel connected, and I am expressing my disagreement with what you just said.”

I like the chamaat line… but if someone chooses to hear it the sophisticated way 🙂 I am game…

  • Yaari Dosri Taaza Maaza…

Making friends is easy… take a picture show it to the person, and ask if he thinks there is a picture that I can take… and make sure you thank him too 🙂

the formula works and I know it by experience… because I now have a new set of friends…

Bimal Kumar… called Kaliya… has a chai ki dukaan near the Khari Bawli T point, Fatehpuri Masjid, Chandni chawk..

Kishan, the cool dude who handles the shoes at the Shani Dev mandir near the Metro Station, Chandni Chawk…

Bitto… who sells fruits near the Tpoint as mentioned above…

Munna, the pan wala, who knows that me and Aro do not want the hard supari in our Meetha Pan…

Anil Yadav, who sells flowers in the Chandni Chawk Phool Mandi… and looking for a job outside…

And Munna, told someone who asked what and who we were… that we are writers and photographers, and thats our line… and that we are writing a book… and we are thinking that we should actually…

    Photos coming soon…

and if you think you are a foodie, i might make you rethink about it…
